What you leave here stays on your device. No server, no log, no one — unless you choose to share one to the wall, and it tells you exactly what that means first.

The page saves your words in your own browser's local storage and nowhere else. When you press return, no network request is made — you can watch the network tab and see nothing leave. If you make an offering, the payment page sees that you gave — never what you wrote; the two are separate systems that share nothing. If you ever open one into a conversation, that is a separate, deliberate step, and it says so before anything is sent. If you tick “share this one to the wall”, that single confession — and only that one — is sent to be stripped of identifying detail and read before it appears; you’re told so the moment you choose it, and nothing else you write ever leaves this page.

A note from the artist

I created The Confession Project because I wanted to carve out a little corner of the internet where people could share themselves freely, witness themselves in that, be witnessed, experience all of themselves as being welcome, and be welcomed — literally — by Flow, a conversational AI I trained on my voice and approach.

I also wanted, above all else, to create something that felt like art and magic, not just a product. That allowed me to instil and distil my quirks, idiosyncrasies, heart, and discernment into something beyond myself.
